| Lord Vishnu, one of the three lords in Hindu religion, rides on his chariot. Along with him are his aid providing him with shade and his disciple Garuda, a half human and half bird. This terra cotta shows Lord Vishnu in his greatness with four hands, his legs wide apart, and his crown and halo distinctly drawn. He poses in Alidh mudra, an aggressive gesture of Hindu deities. His horse-drawn chariot stands on a carved pedestal. |
