A
translation of Gauri, an epic tragic poem by Madhav Prasad Ghimmire
was launched at a function organized here today by Spiny Babbler.
The poem has been translated by Pallav Ranjan and was launched by
Lalitpur Mayor Buddhi Raj Bajracharya.
At
the function, poet Ghimmire shed light on the situation that led
him to compose the poems. "Each word is drenched in my tears,"
he said. The poetry was written after the death of the poet's wife,
Gauri. Poet Ghimmire also expressed happiness over the organization’s
effort to translate Nepali literature. Mayor Bajracharya expressed
gratitude to the organization for taking Nepali literature into
the international market. |
