Babbler launched an exhibition by Param Meyangbo "Enamel Works"
in its private gallery in Kupondol Heights recently, says Spiny
Babbler release issued here today.
According
to the release, a discerning audience of 200 people is expected
over the exhibition period of 14 days. Over the past six years,
Spiny Babbler has been working with literature and arts and the
organization will have published twelve editions by 1998 end and
distributed 19,800 copies of literature and arts-related publications.
Located
on the road to Summit hotel from the Patan engineering college,
the gallery's exhibition presents 42 works of art by Param Meyangbo
who has received much appreciation.
Featured
as 1.5x3 meter displays at the Beijing conference by PEN International,
as Pepsi calendar in 2054 BS, and on the covers of The Pilgrim, Death, and Love
Poem, her work has been praised by professionals as well as
young artists says the release. "Enamel Works" is her
latest work and features images in black and white using enamel
on paper and on plyboard as mediums. 18 color work (acrylic, crayon
and pastel on paper) are also on display, the release adds.
According
to the release, the gallery also features landscapes by Nanda Budhathoki,
color photographs of the Valley's seven world Heritage Sites by
Sanu Maharjan, high quality line drawings featuring cultural motifs,
black and white photographs, and other attractions. Besides publications
by Spiny Babbler are also on sale at the gallery and visitors are
also given an introduction to the organization's publishing and
publication services program. |
